Part 2"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Two weeks ago we wrote about the benefits for a research project manager when he or she serves as a mentor. We outlined the &#8222;hard&#8221; areas of research project management. Today, we present the results of our conversations with researchers about why it is beneficial to be a mentor from the perspective of &#8222;soft&#8221; areas of management and personal development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Benefits in terms of personal development:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A mentoree brings a point of view and asks questions that stimulate the mentor&#8217;s growth.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Being a mentor causes you to broaden your own horizons and expand your knowledge.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can become more familiar with the perspectives and thinking of others who are your mentoree.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Benefits in terms of increased academic satisfaction:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Mentoree using the mentor&#8217;s advice achieves success, and joint creative discussions allow larger scientific projects to be completed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The mentoree continues and develops the mentor&#8217;s ideas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can get the peace of mind that comes from the fact that knowledge and experience is not lost, but will be passed on to the next generation of scientists.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You have the opportunity to solidify your knowledge and feel that you are passing this knowledge on.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you want to develop your competence to be a mentor, contact us: contact us: icrk@us.edu.pl<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Two weeks ago we wrote about the benefits for a research project manager when he or she serves as a mentor.
