We have completed the experiments in the project “Flow and virtual team effectiveness”! Our research was aimed at understanding what really affects the effectiveness of teams operating remotely. We focused on the concept of team flow – a state in which team members are fully engaged, focused and work in harmony, achieving above-average results. We designed experiments to capture not only the end results of the teams’ work, but, more importantly, the dynamics of the processes that lead to these results. Modern organizations have faced the opportunity and at the same time the challenge of creating tools and structures based on virtual work. Therefore, it is necessary to ask ourselves more and more often how to achieve the flow effect in such work, that is, a high level of involvement in the task, at the same time combined with pleasure from the work performed.
