In just a few days we will once again participate in the conference of the series “Contemporary Challenges of Project and Process Management”, organized every two years by the Department of Management Processes at the Cracow University of Economics. As every year, the conference will be held in Zakopane and will last from September 19 to 21, 2024.
This year, the main objectives of the conference are to celebrate the scientific achievements of Prof. UEK Prof. Czesław Mesjasz, as well as to exchange knowledge and practical experience, present the results of scientific research, integrate the scientific community with the business community, as well as support the development of doctoral students.
The thematic scope of the conference includes theoretical issues and practical solutions aimed at increasing the efficiency of organizational systems, as well as project and process management.
This year the conference will be attended by Olaf Flak, Ph.D., and will feature a presentation entitled. “Determinants of managerial pattern recognition for team automation. Research results”. The purpose of the speech is to present answers to two research questions arising from the research problem, which is the issue of the existence of an employee team consisting in part or in whole of entities built on artificial intelligence.
First, Olaf Flak, Ph.D., will present an answer to the question of how to record the behavior of a human manager in order to obtain data for activating managerial actions by a robot manager. This answer will include a description of the system of organizational terms and the author’s research results.
Secondly, it will formulate an answer to the question of what behavior pattern recognition analysis methods to use to activate managerial activities by a robot manager. The answer relates to classical pattern recognition methods, which can now be extended to GPT language models.
Other topic areas expected during the speakers’ presentations include:
- creating strategies for organizational change and development,
- implementing strategy under globalization,
- improving organizational structures and organizational networks,
- design and implementation of flexible manufacturing and logistics systems,
- innovation and intellectual capital management concepts,
- development of social potential and competence management of organizations,
- information management and implementation of information technology tools.
